He actually went one extra mile for Rohit and got him a scholarship at the aforementioned school, which guaranteed him better chances and the better cricketing facilities for sure. Rohit was born to Gurunath Sharma, a caretaker of a transport firm storehouse and Purnima Sharma, a housewife. Rohit is the younger of two born to the Sharma couple, the other one is his eldest brother named Vishal Sharma.
