Suresh Raina Early Life and Domestic Career:

Relatively a late starter, Suresh Raina went on attending the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Lucknow at the age of 14. It was actually the time when he left his hometown Muradnagar to seek more of the cricketing opportunities. ‘He came, he saw, he conquered’ is the phrase best suiting what Raina did after joining the sports college. Just in next several years, he rose to the prominence, just two years later joining the college the left-handed batsman become the captain of the under-16 Uttar Pradesh side. He also played for the under-17 UP side and made his Ranji Trophy in the following year as well. His performance for India under-19 in World Cup 2004 (under-19) and performance in U-19 Asian ODI Championship made him knocking at the door of the national team.

Suresh Raina is the youngest of five born to father Tirlokchand Raina and mother Parvesh Raina. The flamboyant batsman was born and raised in Muradnagar area of Ghaziabad. His siblings include three elder brothers namely Dinesh Raina, Mukesh Raina and Naresh Raina, and an elder sister named Renu as well.
